To coincide with the launch of our new V-Circular video ad solution, we held a webinar titled “Local Video Advertising: It’s Time to Play.” Presented by Shoplocal, a G/O Digital company, and Eyeview, the presentation covered some leading insights into how to play in the fast-growing format of personalized, local video.
Lester Holze, Shoplocal’s Vice President of Business Development, opened with an industry overview. More than 38 billion video ads stream per month and on average viewers spend 19 hours with that content. Additionally, online video ad spend is rising worldwide with more marketers shifting dollars to digital video and away from more traditional sources like banner ads and television. The message is clear: The one-dimensional ad experience is no longer enough; the time to play in digital video is now.
Ben Flaccus, Eyeview’s Sales Director, then presented on what it takes to win in video and the numerous customization opportunities available to advertisers. It is now possible to reach consumers based on local info, real-time deals, weather conditions, demographics, and much more.

The webinar presentation also provided two game-changing ways to win in digital video. Flaccus addressed highly targeted, dynamic content first. The webinar also featured a V-Circular makeover to illustrate how a small business audience can receive one set of ad data and an electronics enthusiasts audience can receive another. Another highlight was an Ace Hardware case study, which showed measurable results, including a 96% increase in local awareness of deals, a 46%lift in purchase intent, and three times more familiarity with store locations for those exposed to the ad.
